Glued timber logs come to us all the way from Austria. BSH glued timber are spruce logs consisting of at least 3 boards 4 cm thick, glued together with a special formaldehyde-free glue. Such gluing makes the BSH material stronger than solid wood, which makes it ideal for beams, columns and other structural elements. But not only! It also looks great on the walls of houses or ceiling beams. Glued wood has a much lower tendency to crack, it is also very selected, so it does not have as many knots.
In addition, a house made of glued logs settles less, and the walls, thanks to gluing, have better tightness. The better strength of such wood and the fact that it is made of 4 cm thick pieces means that the target thickness of the log can be much higher than in the case of a solid log. In our company, the largest cross-section is 28 cm thick.
The principle of building houses from glued logs is the same as from solid logs. All processing is done on the Hundegger K2i machine. Projects are created well in advance, which significantly improves the construction process. Ready-made elements that fit together like Lego bricks arrive at the construction site. After assembling the construction, the logs are painted in the selected color, usually with Tikkurila paints, which also contain an impregnation agent.
Below in the gallery there are examples of log house designs, ideally suited to the use of glued timber, with a price offer, however, we can make any customer's project.
