Log houses are one of the oldest known house building technologies. The main supporting structure of such a house is amphibians - logs, stacked on top of each other. A tongue-and-groove helps in connecting the logs (with smaller cross-sections). In addition, corners are cut on the Hundegger K2i CNC machine, which also bind the corners of the house. In addition to corners, the machine also produces all other processing: holes for electricity and dowels (which additionally stiffen the walls), construction cuts, cutouts for window openings. It is worth noting that log houses settle more than other houses. This improves the tightness of the walls, but at the same time it makes it necessary to make window openings at least 10 cm higher than the target window.
In our company, we usually offer our customers a log ground floor and a skeletal attic. This streamlines the construction process, and additionally makes the house settle faster, thanks to which customers can move to their dream house faster. However, nothing stands in the way of building the attic of the building in a log structure.
In our company, we offer our customers several cross-sections of solid logs: 9cm, 12cm and 16cm. The height of the logs is 20 cm. According to Polish construction standards, each log house requires insulation, which is usually installed from the inside of the building to preserve the wooden façade.
The houses we build are usually painted with special Tikkurila paints, which perfectly impregnate the wood, and additionally have a wide range of colors. This makes each house look original and unique. You need to take care of the wooden façade, so after about 5 years from the construction of the house, the painting of the house should be repeated. Later, this time is extended depending on the weather conditions at the construction site. Typically, repainting needs to be repeated about every 10 years.
Below in the gallery there are examples of log house designs with a price offer, however, we can make any customer's project.
